Vlaamse ondernemers vragen indexsprong maar ook overheidssteun.

  1. Indexsprong to keep wages (= expenses) down + overheidssteun (= more income)…

Yeah, no. Families have an income companies want to keep down while bills keep coming and rising, gas prices go up,… families need to survive with that income. So back off!

Companies on the other hand, can raise prices (as almost all already do), thus raising their income.

If companies would be as prudent as how they preach families should be…
(Remember how companies needed overheidssteun when covid hit but families didn’t get any help, some went on technisch werkloos and thus had even less income.)

  2. Asking for an indexsprong when inflation is up to fucking 8%, while enterprises are showing record net profits, is about the most shameless demand you can enter social dialogue with.

  3. Ah yes, VOKA. Always whining about government spending, until they themselves want a handout…

  4. Don’t cry when desperate people will give PVDA all their votes. You can’t just make record profits and still asks for an indexsprong with more than 7% of inflation. Also the average people, won’t work if it’s not worth the wage anymore …

  5. Misschien kan De Croo junior nog eens 50 miljard in de economie pompen, anders gaan we nooit aan 15 % inflatie geraken.

  6. Greed has no boundaries. Any politician seriously considering this should be ousted from government, as they’re not on our side.

  7. it’s literally their job to ask for this, getting angry at this is like getting angry at the grocer for selling vegetables, they’d ask for an indexsprong because it rained yesterday if they thought it had a chance of succeeding

  8. Profits have never been as high as today, still want to pay less to their employees and on top of want the government to pay them extra. These type of people are the true “profiteurs” of society.

  9. Inflation is caused by temporary extremely high energy costs and thus result in production costs increases. If you add a salary increase to cover inflation, then you add a fixed monthly high component to the raising production costs. This will turn into a spiral, not to mention our labour market competitiveness …

Profits margins were high due to cheap stock. Today, companies have to work with very expensive stock and raw materials so profit margins will be lower again…

    Solution:
Instead of a providing a forever high wage increases, why don’t we combine smaller salary increases with inflation bonusses?
Also – giving 8% to a 6k bruto salary and 8% to a 2.5k bruto salary imo doesn’t make any sense

    Happy to hear your thoughts!

  10. My company used inflation as a way to shield from wage increase next year. Meanwhile they’re flaunting numbers on how much more profit they made. I realize it’s not up to my direct manager to decide how much money can be given out and that he’s only in charge on dividing it but it’s messed up.

  12. Flemish private enterprises asking index jump but also ~~state aid~~ taxpayers money. What a bunch of sore losers! Let the market take care of those who do have no merit to exist.
