Designed as the first World Public Assembly (WPA) and themed “A New World of Conscious Unity” to reflect the growing new geopolitical architecture, Moscow’s World Trade Center (WTC) is preparing to host, on September 20 and 21, an estimated 4,000 people from Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia as well as the former Soviet republics and the Eurasia. More than 40 discussion platforms will be organized on the following topics: culture, education, science, youth policy, religious dialogue, social responsibility of business, tourism, sports and media.
Modern society faces the growth of globalization processes, and therefore large-scale discussions, round tables, panel sessions – all formats of the World Public Assembly are aimed at finding and developing specific tools for building a just multipolar world and the role of public diplomacy. In a historic gathering of global voices, aligning with the UN International Day of Peace, the gathering aims to spark a new era of collaboration, shared values, and global responsibility in the face of rapid geopolitical and societal change.
“A new world begins where unity is established, where differences are not intimidated, but respected, where values are higher than differences, and cooperation is stronger than rivalry. The new world is a matter of common efforts. And it is being created here and now — together with you,” said Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly.
Belyaninov further explained that the World Public Assembly is a modern, open platform for those who feel responsible for the future and strive to be not just a witness, but a source of change. Therefore, advancing the formation of new contours of international partnership as a conscious unity of peoples has to be based on the principles of shared responsibility for the future, respect for the moral ideals and cultural values of each people.
In outlining the main idea of the forum, Belyaninov asserted: “We believe that a new world begins where unity is established, where differences are not feared, but respected, where values are higher than differences, and cooperation is stronger than rivalry.”
The WPA will not only celebrate peace but also work toward actionable solutions for a sustainable, harmonious, and just global future. “This is where the New World begins—where unity is affirmed, where values rise above differences, and where cooperation is stronger than rivalry,” said Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary General of the World Peoples Assembly.
As noted by the Co-Chair of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Aleksandra Ochirova: “Conscious unity cannot be achieved through governmental decrees. Our key task is the conceptual support of humanitarian modernization and the achievement of multipolar unity through concrete proposals from the participants themselves coming from around the world”.
The business program includes 7 panel sessions and over 40 thematic platforms on key areas: public diplomacy, humanitarian modernization, values of the new world, and spiritual unity. Thematic forums: International Media Forum “Media in the Service of Humanity”, Youth Forum “Generation of Unity,” International Forum “Victorious Nations: The Lesson of World War II and Responsibility for Peace”, Business Forum “Corporate Social Responsibility: Investments in a Common Future”, Congress of the World Organization of Writers (WOW), and the Eurasian Forum of National Cultures and Equestrian Traditions “Constellation of the First”.
A special University Presidents’ Meeting will also be held, gathering scholars and experts from over 40 countries. A key moment of the Assembly will be the presentation of the Public Recognition Award “For Service to Humanity”, celebrating individuals and organizations that exemplify selfless contribution to peace, unity, and global well-being.
With over 200 journalists from Eurasia, Africa, and Latin America in attendance, the World Public Assembly will receive extensive global media coverage. TASS, the official information partner, will livestream major sessions. Broadcasts and real-time updates will be available on the official website and across social media.
