Minsk – A delegation from the Libyan Government’s Ministry of Interior visited the headquarters of the ALMAZ unit, part of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs specializing in counter-terrorism and hostage rescue, this Friday evening as part of its official visit to the Republic of Belarus.

The delegation was received by the unit’s commander, who presented a field demonstration that included training in indoor shooting ranges, jumping and climbing exercises, in addition to a showcase of the unit’s technical and tactical capabilities in handling high-risk missions and complex security operations.

The “ALMAZ” unit is considered one of the most prominent security units in Belarus, given its role in confronting emerging security challenges and counter-terrorism missions.
