So ive been on and off watching bbc news and other outlets for about a year now and ive seen this trend where theyre getting on reform politicians more and more frequently.

LBC does it quite alot and its starting to annoy me cause they never really have lib dems or the greens but they have an hour of farrage talking about how hes gonna clean britain uo or some bollocks, like when he was in UKIP

BBC is doing it cause money probably

And I dont watch channel 4 but from clips ive seen its pretty simular

  1. Today’s Find Out Now poll puts Reform UK on 34% and Labour/Conservatives on joint 16%.

So, why wouldn’t the media be giving the party that is likely to form the next government ample attention?

  2. Fun fact: If you scaled the amount of time Reform get on BBC by the number of elected MPs Labour would have to be on over 70 hours a day.

  3. the media in this country is a joke.

i cannot even imagine why OFCOM refuses to act. though if people keep sending in reports it cant help
    *HINT HINT*

  4. Gotta make billionaires more money, the NHS is the prize to dismantle. They own the media.

  5. The double standards are unreal. Rayner gets a huge amount of negative coverage over tax avoidance (rightly so), yet Farage does something similar and it barely gets mentioned.

You have to wonder who is greasing palms of the media to give Reform a free pass for their corruption.

  6. Media, by necessity, is run by capital. Who has all the capital? What do you think their interests are?

It’s the people falling for their propaganda i don’t understand. Turkeys voting for fucking Christmas.

  7. Could it be because polling shows there is a sizeable public appetite for Reform?

  8. LBC has several right wing presenters and a quite a right wing/right leaning audience, same as Talk so you’ll hear more about Reform.

I’m not sure about LBC but I know most left wing MPs & Cllrs will refuse to be interviewed or join debates on Talk so is assume it’s perhaps a similar situation with LBC.

BBC – they were accused of not giving Reform time, accused of being biased for a few things, making mistakes in reporting etc and are nicknamed something along the lines of the British Bashing Corporation … so I’d assume it’s an overcorrection.

Just to clarify I’m not saying it’s an overcorrection that’s needed, just playing devils advocate as to why.

  9. Not a fan of reform, but who else they gonna talk about? Labour and conservatives are the same shit. Reform keeps saying mad shit they never gonna back up, good for news.

  10. They’re doing to the UK what they already did to the US with great success.

  11. It depends which news uou watch and your algorithm 🤷🏼‍♀️

  12. How dare they have people on from the party polling highest in the opinion polls right now perhaps people might want to hear what they have to say before the next elections

  13. We are doomed and there is nothing we can do to stop this. If you thought fascism in the 30s was bad, the modern version will destroy society as we know it. I’ve had a few whiskeys but those are my thoughts anyway.

  14. Garage has had friends in the media for years.

He’s spent most of his political ‘career’ being technical irrelevant to the democratic process because he wasn’t elected to parliament, yet the press treated him as if he was leader of the opposition at times.

  15. Rupert Murdoch owns about 1/3rd of UK print media and a fair degree of the broadcast media too. He’s a scourge on humanity and the fact that he’s got as much reach as he does with his media is honestly shocking. Starmer had meetings with him just before being elected and started changing his tone pretty much at the same time.

  16. Maybe the other parties should be doing more to get themselves on TV?

A good example is the new green leader has been popping up on tv more and more now.
