    The fact that so many people feel weirded out that they might be agreeing with Cruz, is a **damning** commentary on just how far our “democracy” has slid, because ironically, this is kinda how this whole “representative democracy” is supposed to work. We are so far removed from what it’s like to have our elected representatives agree with what the vast majority of the American population wants and believes, that we now have to gaslight ourselves into thinking that we agree with them. That’s not how this was supposed to work to begin with.

    And lastly – if you (and I) have been saying a thing for a while, and then they happen to be forced to come down on the same side of the issue, they don’t get to own the moral high ground.
