I’m trans so I’ve never used the school toilets

  1. I would just use the boys if I was him. He says he thinks boys in there might think he’s a girl, but he doesn’t look like a girl. And if he goes in the cubicle no-one will see him anyway.

  2. It is awkward. When I was early in transition I avoided all public toilets for a while. Using the men’s or women’s could precipitate comments, and I didn’t want to offend anyone.

Lots of trans people get nervous using public toilets, especially with the current discourse being as toxic as it is.

  3. The school have said he can use the male, female or disabled toilets. But nope, that’s not good enough. Wants a new toilet block built. And the mum is claiming his education will suffer if their demands aren’t met.

  4. I really can’t imagine giving that much of a shit about who is taking a shit in the next stall. Fuck man we all poop. Just wash your hands and flush.

  5. Thinking back to my school days, I don’t think I ever used the toilets there.

Unless you count being upside-down, and very much the wrong way round.
