Ive been living in germany for the past 6 years now and I have never seen as many cockroaches as now. Up until about a year ago Ive maybe seen 1 every year but now I see at least 1 per day depending on where I am. Anyone else notice this?

That’s not a German Cockroach. It’s a Bernsteinwaldschabe, totally harmess.
The problem is we have a lot more trash nowadays, attracting different types of vermin. It’s currently around 25%.
Honestly, I have Never seen a Schabe/Cockroach my entire life in Germany, lol
He’s coming back from smoking break. /s
I’ve also noticed few this year for the first time in years in Berlin! Not cool.
These are harmless- they’re not the same as German Cockroaches (despite the name) which infest homes. These guys live in the woods and eat plants, are attracted to light. They’re gross looking I know but actually harmless.
There’s more here as they migrated from warmer climates nearer the Mediterranean, the migration has gone on for a while now.
