Don’t worry, *The One Show* and *Homes under the Hammer* will survive I’m sure…
The Tories have done what they do best.
1. Reduce funding to a service.
2. The service is forced to make cuts.
3. The Tories complain about these cuts, ignoring the fact the Tories caused the cuts.
4. Get the public blaming the service rather than the Tories.
5. Use these cuts and negative public opinion towards a service (no matter how many people actually have a negative opinion about the service) to justify further reductions in funding.
6. The service is forced to make cuts.
And the cycle continues. This is a problem the Tories have created but do everything possible to make it seem as if the BBC is to blame.
IV changed my mind on the BBC over recent years.
My personal opinion is that as a nation we should have a public broadcast / news and radio service.
But it should be part of our taxes and not a “licence fee”
This, however, should be a limited budget (Lower than what it is now) the intention should be to provide a “free” service to ensure people always have access to news and entertainment.
The BBC should also offer a subscription service for their more expensive “premium” shows
The BBC think its an arm of the Labour Party. Slash funding further.
It’ll soon be the Mrs Brown’s Boys Broadcasting Corporation.
So ‘high quality’ is endless quiz shows in various formats? Well, fuck.
As long as they’re continuing to hire diversity managers I refuse to give them a single penny. I would do the the same for the NHS if I could. It is such a slap in the face to tax payers it’s beyond belief.
Good good another step closer to being history. Wallets and children’s bumholes across the country will be less stretched.
Maybe stop paying twats loads of fucking money. Anyone remember how much Jonathan Ross was on before the chop?
Can only produce so many unpopular flops, shame they keep doubling down instead of making good programmes.
I’m sure the daytime tv programmes about tax dodgers and people on benefits will continue so the poor and foreigners get blamed!
