That’s definitely my intention for when I die – Be buried on my own forest land.
This is fantastic news. Literally everyone wins with this; more lands available for everyone to learn about culture, history and sustainability, a man gets to be buried where he wants (without the aspect of religion), he gets to be buried near his dog, no pollution risk… Very glad to hear this for him. Good on him
Beautiful – he’ll have a forest as his headstone! 😀
Such a beautiful gesture and idea. A man to be buried with his best friend, a dog called Van Gogh
Very sweet story. He seems to have a very good heart.
What a fucking legend.
Legend. What a great story. If all former farmland where a farmer passes on or has no interest anymore and sells up could be turned into native woodland, Ireland would be in a far better place environmentally

Cool.
I’m glad we have more options than
A) Be buried on consecrated grounds
B) Be cremated
