  1. Out of all places in Canada they went to where French speaking Canadians who hate English speakers lmao get ready to learn French buddy!

  2. Non paywalled article of the same story

    >The Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle crossing — located six hours north of New York City — has emerged as a main gateway for northbound migration. The area was dotted with a wooded trail where in the past, migrants would sneak across the border due to a longstanding loophole in an agreement between the US and Canada.
But rule changes negotiated between the US and Canada in 2023 made it harder for people who entered Canada via that route to stay(…)

    >Once there, many are likely to be turned away unless they can prove close family ties in Canada. As of mid-September, there were 2,272 cases this year in which people claimed refugee status in Canada, were deemed ineligible under the Safe Third Country Agreement, and removed to the USA, according to data from the Canadian border agency.(…)
A total of 1,125 people have been caught doing so since the beginning of the year and sent back to the US

  3. Please turn them all away. We cannot support this.

  4. Maybe we’ll finally get some decent Mexican food out of it.

  6. At this point they’re refugees… again..

Edit: treating people like people to hard for ya?

  7. canada’s immigration policies over the past 2 years have completely overwhelmed it

  8. No more vacancy in Quebec. Quebec doesn’t have the ressources to help

  9. Canada should either A. Send them to China, or B. Offer them an accelerated path to citizenship.

  10. On one side of the border we have overcrowded detention centres that lack basic food, water and hygiene. And they might send you to a dangerous country.

On the other side of the border we have a country planning that is planning on building a lot of houses and desperately needs trades people.

Hmmm I think I see why we are going to have a migrant problem.

  11. Unfortunately, Canada is not a great destination right now. Unemployment rate is through the roof.

  12. Crossing the boarder, NOT being offered permanent residence or sanctuary. Most are sent on their way with a high five and slap on the ass

  13. Doesn’t Canada also deport illegal immigrants

  14. Are Canadian farmers having the economic troubles that american farmers are?

  15. Why are they coming to Canada. America is on record explicitly stating nothing from Canada is needed by them.

They ruined their whole country because of their thoughts on immigration until it becomes their turn to benefit from another country’s policies? Nah turn em away.

America is big enough that there are geological corners of the country they can go to without prosecution. No way should Canadians foot a bill for an uncivilized population’s own doing after hearing them brag about how much better of a country they are than you for a few generations.

I just hope enough Americans figure it out before they try to make that trek in the snow.
