As Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to appear in a Disney documentary, one royal commentator believes the documentary is the “tackiest thing they’ve done yet.”

Meghan Markle walked away from her royal duties to become an influencer, with Sky News Australia’s Reilly Sullivan claiming she possessed tremendous power as a royal but threw it all away, which he describes as “so sad.”

Prince Harry and Meghan are scheduled to appear in a Disney documentary that will debut on ABC this Sunday, something Sullivan considers “the tackiest thing they’ve done yet.”

Sullivan argues that Harry and Meghan are now “selling themselves for free events and a little bit of pay” which he views as beneath Royal Family standards.

The royal commentator said: “We think about this state visit, we’ve got the President of the United States sitting down with the royals, I mean, the rooms they would’ve been in, the influence, the possibilities for effecting change they could have made, to now be basically influencers for selling themselves for free events and a bit of money, it’s just so sad.”

Sullivan discusses what they’re sacrificing as royals, including opportunities to mingle with US President Donald Trump, while also examining their current ventures.

He doesn’t see the Disney documentary as a good fit and believes the Sussexes are out there “shilling” for free events and a little bit of money when they could accomplish far more.

Sullivan said: “For Meghan Markle, really, she threw it all away. If she had stayed in the Royal Family, she could have not only been so powerful and so effective, but she would have had so much influence.”

Meghan recently took to Instagram to post a snapshot of the Sussex clan enjoying themselves at Disneyland.

It remains unclear whether this was simply a family outing for enjoyment, or if it represented a paid collaboration with the entertainment giant.

Meghan had all the clout in the world, says royal commentator

Harry and Meghan just extended their deal with Netflix, though it’s rumored they might be exploring additional ventures with Disney.

Sullivan discussed their commercial endeavors and the potential opportunities ahead of them.

He said: “We know they have a first look deal with Netflix, so Disney, and all the other sort of streamers and entertainment companies can take a piece of the Sussexes, if they want, it may be more of a relationship between Harry and Meghan and Disney.”

Sullivan continues to question whether the Sussexes harbor any second thoughts, which Harry recently tackled, stating he maintains a clear conscience.

But she wasn’t happy, as seen in the Sussexes’ Netflix series

Based on Sullivan’s perspective, they possessed everything, suggesting that presently they don’t, though it’s all subjective, and he might be imposing his own definition of achievement onto the Sussexes.

He goes ahead and answers his own question: “To basically be influencers selling themselves for free events and a bit of money, it’s just so sad.”

It’s unclear what the arrangement might be between the Sussexes and Disney, if there is one at all, or if they simply agreed to appear in the documentary because Disneyland is often dubbed the happiest place on Earth (perhaps not so sad).
