  1. *The basic annual salary of a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons is £81,932, as of April 2020. In addition, MPs are able to claim allowances to cover the costs of running an office and employing staff, and maintaining a constituency residence or a residence in London*

Someone offered me a job on that pay you better believe I would act like I want to keep my job

How hard is it to behave like a decent human being?

  2. See, I’m in two minds about this. Yeah definitely not a good look if true, but if no complaints made and nobody named this just feels like the Metro scrabbling for a headline to deflect off the Tories, who have actual named MPs getting done for far worse than making a comment in poor taste.

Either way the story needs some actual substance. Otherwise why talk to the journalist at all?

  3. Now I desperately want to know who the female MP is, ’cause there’s some intelligent, interesting and determined women in the parliamentary Labour Party, but I can’t think of any I’d describe as “sexy”.
