This happened to me. Me and my PJs were all over the WhatsApp group as I was looking for my cat at 2am… my wife was very embarrassed
I HATE these groups.
My grandma was 98 and had dementia. She lived alone in her house where we visited her several times a day. My mum went everyday to cook her a dinner. I went in the evening to check in before bed. The next door neighbour made sure her door was locked every night. We had a system.
One of the few pleasures she had left at the end was walking “to the bridge”. It was up the road from her house past the high school. When I was a teen her and my mom used to walk the family dog over the bridge to the fields everyday before picking me up. It was one of the few things she remembered.
At some point some bitch called Sade confronted my gran and asked her why she way “wandering”. Panicked and confused she couldn’t answer. Sade took her home. Later that day my gran tried again and, again, Sade “found” her and took her home.
Rinse and repeat until there’s a huge drama on the local fb group about the poor, confused old woman who wanders the neighbourhood. None of us are on the group so have no idea.
