Cyberattack disrupts European airports: Brussels, Berlin, Heathrow among affected • FRANCE 24
And we begin with a developing story. Airports across Europe have been hit by a cyber attack and it appears to be causing flight delays and cancellations. Airports in London, Berlin, and Brussels are affected. The attack appears to have created a technical issue affecting check-in and boarding systems. Uh, this is a developing story. So, let’s cross to London and speak to our correspondent, Benedict Pavio, who joins us on the line. Hello to you, Benedict. He Europe’s busiest airport. What more do we know at this point about the cyber attack? Yes, London’s Heathrow is indeed the busiest airport in the United Kingdom and also Europe’s biggest airport. So, there will be a knock-on effect. So far, it’s not clear when the issue will be fixed. But what is clear is that um there is a technical issue that is indeed affecting check-in and boarding systems and therefore delaying passengers. We’re not aware of any cancellation of flights yet, but that could happen. It will just depend how long this all takes to get fixed. What we have seen are photos showing lines at Hito airport. Uh but the full extent of uh the disruption uh is not clear yet. We’re still getting uh reports emerging and information emerging. Uh and at the moment it seems the cyber attack remains limited. So clearly what has happened is that uh it has affected the systems of the passenger handling uh of well of the handling of passengers uh and you know when you go and you actually check yourself in all of that and printing your own boarding pass that is not happening and I think that some of the services uh and the rest of the systems have been uh cut off in order to try and limit uh some of the the damage that has been done by this cyber attack. Uh so what London Heathro has named is uh Collins Aerospace as the company experiencing these issues. Uh and for the moment they’ve simply been saying it may cause delays for departing passengers. Uh and Collins Aerospace uh works with several airlines across multiple airports globally. So that’s when we see that it will have uh an impact, but they’re trying to keep the impact uh limited. As I said, there’s no clarity on when this will be resolved. uh but actually obviously we know that London Heathro airport is a destination in itself but it’s also a major European hub so therefore it is going to have a knock on effect uh and problems for people uh so they just have to try not easy uh easier to say it than do it to try and check what their status is before going to London Heathro indeed Benedict thank you very much Benedict Pavia reporting from London And
Airports across Europe, including London’s Heathrow, are warning of delays after a “technical issue” disrupted check-in and boarding systems. Brussels Airport attributed the problem to a cyberattack, reporting 10 flight cancellations and delays of over an hour for 17 additional flights. France24 Benedicte Paviot reports from London.

Just when you think that things in Europe can’t get much worse- things gets much worse.
Let blame Russia 🇷🇺
WHITE MEN RUINED THE WORLD
Good 👍👍👍👍👍👍 LIKE
Seems like someone has learned nothing…
Literally same sh*t happened 1-2 years ago…
Russia.
Ask US for help then.
😂😂😂😂 Europe/Babylon is falling, and I love it.
It’s Russia no doubt about it
Who’s to blame …hmmmm
When companies like TCS, infosys, HCL build these systems, this is what will happen
Unfortunately they had to resort to manual check in which was unfortunately quicker than usual😂😂😂
Ukrainian hackers
Haaa..Haaa.And you want war with Russia and China…🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow is if you are on H1B and trying to rush back to the US….
Looks like another Crowdstrike issue like in 2024.
STOP CLIMATE ARMAGEDDON
BabaVangaAi did it 😂😂😂😂
Russians (backed by Chrump)!
1. India making money from Russian crude oil. 2. North Korea making money from sending troops to Russia. 3. The United States trying to increase South Korea and Europe's security dependence. <South Korea has also been hacked a lot recently.> If the cyber attacks are true, it's probably one of these three countries. India. North Korea. US.
Thanks Putin.? NOT !
Donald can't save you from consequences from this BS.. !!!
Whoa, not once did they blame this on Russia in this segment. What’s going on?
Europa, europa,…. "grupos", qué serían sin "las colonias" invadidas y saqueadas durante siglos, (y que aún persisten)…. ⚠️
Are they not accusing Russia as usual?
Bring back people to do the jobs instead of using automated machines……
Who are you blaming? China or Russia? When
Very unusual nobody blaming Russia….yet!
Windows.
Great
Indian IT slaves in Bangalore fell asleep for a few hours
Let me guess – China or Russian hackers.
Technical issues = cyberattack
Can't be a software update via increasingly centralized global corporations…
It is way past time to put the Russians in their place. But Europe lacks the will and the courage to do so.
