  13. What Maher said is what any conclusion a sensible person who is paying would come to. There is an epidemic of young men whose brains are being turned to mush by the internet.

    The Republican Party, however, has become simply the party of “Whatever Trump Says,” and so they expect that everyone else in the world will share their slavish devotion to party leadership.

Nobody ever called them on why anything he said was so outrageous. I didn’t hear him say a single thing that even requires a half-hearted apology. None of it was even directed at Kirk.

  19. There have been shooters from every political ideology and personal identity. Surely MAGA must know this, and that there have been plenty of right-wing shooters. I could even factually state that *most* of the political violence is right-wing, but I can just leave it at “both sides” and they are still outraged at even that.

  21. This is pretty low grade in a long lifetime of controversies that Bill Maher has lived. His entire raison d’etre is to piss liberals off to curry favors with conservatives, then when he feels liberals are mad enough at him, he switches to pissing off conservatives. His entire brand is built on “making people mad.”
