There goes Trump’s investment promises. “South Korea cannot just invest $350 billion in the US. That will lead to a currency crisis” – Korean President.

Sanity is nice.
Poor guy doesn’t get it… when the orange dickhead demands you invest $350b, you say, absolutely, let’s double it to $700b. Then you throw in a few hundred thousand, say the rest is on its way and wait a week for the fucker to forget about the whole thing thus earning some goodwill without actually doing anything.
Ask Cocksuckerburg, he knows how to play the game
Isn’t he the guy who made a complete fool of tRump, telling him that he would soon be playing golf with a dead Korean leader?
So I am not a fan of trumps trade policies but what South Korea is asking for is currency swap line on par with Japan, the UK and other major European economies.
That is not in my opinion an unreasonable ask on the part of South Korea—but it is typically a big ask.
For an administration, like the current Trump administration, that has a desperate, whiny, insipid fear of taking a leading central banking role in maintaining world currencies—abdicating U.S. leadership in world trade and currency and all its advantages because they are so afraid of providing the slightest hint of an upside to any trading partners—granting this reasonable request to a long term ally is anathema.
That does not mean they won’t do it.
There no investment of any significance coming in to America. As Lou Reed said “put a fork in it ,it’s done!
I really don’t understand how every waking moment in the South Korean Government isn’t dedicated to getting people to have babies.
It seems simple and frankly kinda reactionary but the country is going to implode over the next 100 years.
Hell, North Korea might win the 2nd Korean War just because there aren’t enough South Korean soldiers.
Still waiting to see the signed piece of paper confirming ANY of the tariff deals trump has made
Unless that agreement was written down, on paper, approved by congress, and has the signatures of the leaders of both countries, then all “agreements” were just talk.
Probably shouldn’t have put their citizens in shackles. At the $12.6 billion Georgia battery plant. Ya think?
