While rumours about the next rumoured God of War spin-off game have been circulating for quite some time, new leaks have recently surfaced online revealing details about a new weapon.

Over the Insider Gaming podcast on YouTube, Tom Henderson highlighted that the supposed next mainline God of War game might feature a weapon “like an Egyptian sword, you know, like a curved Egyptian sword.” He further stated that it’s similar to what the Prince of Persia series has.

Moreover, based on previous leaks, Henderson also highlighted that the rumoured God of War game will reportedly be set in Ancient Greece and feature a younger version of Kratos. Additionally, game insider Jeff Grubb previously revealed that the game’s release is reportedly delayed to 2026.

However, as of now, at the time of writing, neither Sony nor Santa Monica Studios has officially announced the game.

Meanwhile, in other news, the Amazon God of War TV series has received an update, with filming reportedly scheduled to begin in March 2026 in Vancouver. Following that, more leaks about the series have surfaced online, revealing popular names such as Henry Cavill, Christopher Judge, and others being considered for the role of Kratos.
