**From Ryan Teague Beckwith, newsletter editor:**
On the campaign trail last year, Donald Trump swore he knew “nothing” about Project 2025. As a candidate, he said he didn’t even know who had written the far-right blueprint for his second term, called some of its ideas “absolutely ridiculous” and “abysmal” and argued it was “pure disinformation” for Democrats to try to link him to that plan.
When he won a second term, Trump dropped the pretense and began enacting Project 2025’s proposals, in some cases to the letter. In the eight months since inauguration, he has checked off most of its major proposals:
At the same time, he appointed Project 2025 co-author Russell Vought as director of the Office of Management and Budget. He nominated contributor E.J. Antoni as Commissioner of Labor Statistics, despite the latter’s lack of the usual credentials. (The Senate has not voted on Antoni’s confirmation yet.) And he appointed Brendan Carr, who literally wrote the chapter on the Federal Communications Commission, as chairman of the [FCC.In](http://FCC.In) the past, a president who made a major reversal of a campaign promise might be expected to show some contrition, or else try to explain their reversal due to changing circumstances, as Woodrow Wilson did when he broke his pledge to keep the U.S. out of World War I or George H.W. Bush did when he signed a budget that raised taxes.
Trump has given no explanation. But the FCC’s Carr just made quite clear that he thinks this is all a big joke.

*gasp*
File that under ‘N’ for ‘No Fucking Shit, Sherlock’.
People need to stand up and do something before this goes any further. The damage is almost irreparable at this point.
Non-MAGA folks knew it would happen and shouted it from the rooftops, and MAGAs knew it would too, but pretended it wouldn’t. There isn’t anyone in the country who genuinely thought Project 2025 wasn’t going to happen.
no shit, the nation replies
Project 2025 is a national suicide project that aims to isolate the United States diplomatically and destroy its economy.
So exactly what we all said this time last year and they all said they never heard of? Got it.
I really hope all those people feel good about their protest votes because literally everyone knew this was exactly the plan.
Of note, the Heritage Foundation denies that global temperatures are increasing, they are not intelligent people.
Project ~~2025~~ 1933.
Thankfully the press sprinted to every outlet they had and downplayed it constantly during the election! Phew
We need a project 2029 with all the radical extremist left wing stuff like
– feeding the hungry
– prioritizing the environment
– stopping our murder of civilians in other countries
– properly funding education
– prison reform
– removing corrupt politcians
– Equal voting, no more electoral college
– impartial state redistricting
– In 1869 we stopped adding Supreme Court seats, the population was 40m people, it’s now over 300m. We need to add seats adjusted for population.
– fixing the housing market
– universal healthcare of everyone
– helping immigrants
– hold insurrectionists accountable for their actions, politicians and citizens
– create a council of health experts to oversee HHS instead of one person appointed by whichever president is in office
– housing the homeless
– lowering taxes for the working class
– prioritizing working class rights
– firmly separating the church and state
– decreasing the power of the executive branch
– Infrastructure plans for nation wide high speed rail systems
– begin moving away from fossil fuels and into renewables
– remove money completely from politics, if you receive bribes or after office promises you will be jailed for treason against the working class as will the ones offering it.
– Nationalize any business that has been bailed out
I don’t get it. Why did they hide this from voters? They claim to love the US and be patriots and theyre going to win based on your amazing policies to ‘Make America Great Again’, then why hide your agenda?
Remember when Trump “disavowed” P2025, and the fact checkers bought it for some stupid reason and were scolding Democrats for trying to hang it around his neck like an albatross…
…and meanwhile one of the P2025 authors was like “LOL, obviously he’s lying because it’s so unpopular, but it is totally the plan”?
Yeah.
Well you don’t say? Crazy.
You couldn’t tell from the FCC chair gleefully saying “we are doing project 2025 in response to him forcing Jimmy Kimmel out?
Hang on I need to go put my surprised eyebrows back on, they flew right off my face just now.
No shit Sherlock. Trump lied, he always lies. Whatever he says believe the opposite.
“… Our No Goddamn Motherfucking Shit Correspondent is on scene with more details.”
And here I thought they just stumbled upon 50% completion in the first 8 months
The Trump administration is not full of sophisticated people so yah no shit.
Trump is the instrument he is not the architect.
Just like Tim Walz said – when someone goes through the trouble of making a manual or a playbook, they’re going to use it.
Even though I’m a democrat, I still downloaded the Project 2025 PDF when it was available so I could skim through it and see what sort of hijinx they’re planning. A lot of things have happened since Trump took office and some right wing base were taken by surprise but if they had bothered to even do some research it was clearly in their plans since the get go.
In Trump’s current administration, several top officials are directly tied to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.
Russ Vought, now Director of the Office of Management and Budget, helped write parts of Project 2025’s Mandate for Leadership.
E.J. Antoni, nominated to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, is a Heritage economist and contributor to Project 2025.
Tom Homan, serving as Trump’s border czar, is a Heritage fellow and helped shape the immigration chapter of Project 2025.
Brendan Carr, nominated to head the FCC, wrote the Project 2025 section on communications.
Stephen Miller, now Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security adviser, is tied to Project 2025 through his group America First Legal.
Karoline Leavitt, Trump’s press secretary, even appears as an instructor in Project 2025’s Presidential Administration Academy.
On a larger scale, reporting shows that about 70 percent of Trump’s cabinet has links to Project 2025 and Heritage.
The ACLU has identified at least 140 people from Trump’s administrations who are connected to Project 2025, and Newsweek notes that 31 of its contributors previously served in his first term.

The real question is, how many MAGA supporters will see articles like this? There is approximately a 0% chance that Fox News will report on this.
So funny I watched a jubilee debate last night with destiny against 25 Trump supporters. The last topic was that MAGA relies on misinformation.
One of the last speakers essentially said that project 2025 was a democratic misinformation campaign. I wonder how that guys coping.
It was so funny to me during the election when right wing accounts would come on here and say: “Trump said he doesn’t know anything about project 2025, so you don’t have to worry about it.”
I knew they were lying.
They knew they were lying.
We all knew Trump was lying.
And yet it somehow still worked. Even when lies and propaganda are flagrantly false, they can still be effective.
The trade was he gets retaliation, Stephen Miller can cosplay Hitler and the pseudo Christians get to force sharia law on us. History is going to laugh at this admin for eternity. If there are aliens on there way here please put the throttle to ludicrous speed.
Fucking duh
Project 2025?
The Project 2025 that they never even kept secret and had a public website to educate everyone on?
The Project 2025 that has its people in all levels of the Project 2025 administration?
That Project 2025?
The Project 2025 that’s almost halfway through its goals in 8 short months?
That Project 2025?
“Oh shit really? No one ever told meeeeeeeee wahhhhhh” -irresponsible lazy voters* in 2024.
*does not count disenfranchised voters. If you easily had a way to vote in 2024 but elected not to, this is directed at you
