In Kraków it's pretty bad comparing to the last two seasons ;_;

  1. Horrible. I went mushroom picking a couple of times, and all I got was two small chanterelles. Subcarpathia. Forests are dry AF, even if it happens to rain for a couple of days, if you go to the forest the next day it’s dry. Ten years of droughts gives some results.

  2. It all depends on the spot but generally i heard it is too dry for muschrooms to grow especially in the south.

  3. Haven’t got the chance to go mushrooming yet 😔 I need my father to accompany me and he’s constantly busy.

  4. Lubuskie – nothing, not much. Last year was extreme.
    More rain and sun needed..

  5. I’m not a mushroom picker, I’m a mushroom photographer but dam yesterday I’ve found so nice prawdziwki, I’ve had to pick’em up

  6. Byłem na weekend w Borach tucholskich. Jeszcze nigdy nie odpuszczałem zbierania niektórych grzybów, żeby mieć same ładne.

  7. Thanks. Based on the sun rays and the driedness of grass I guessed your exact muschroom picking location. Im approaching rapidly

  8. In Norway the mushrooms were as big as plates and there were so many. Also in Germany it’s a good season, even around the more urban areas.

  9. Well what I’ve heard there are plenty of Russian drones remains found in the woods by mushroom picking folks.

  10. Depends on where u live. However, magic mushrooms have been already seen in most of the country 😉

  11. Report from Wisniowa outside Krakow: Pretty shite yesterday! Dry as hell

  12. This is a little random but is this quite a big thing in Poland? Picking mushrooms I mean.

I’m from the UK and my grandma was Polish. She would always go out mushroom picking when she could. Even when she got dementia my dad would hide them around the garden so she could go do it.

  13. It really depends. Some people’s here say it’s horrible. Meanwhile my family in the North can almost dive in mushrooms like Scrooge McDuck in his pool of money. Seriously, we went for watching yesterday and within 1 hour we had four full baskets of boletes. The previous visits in the woods resulted in delicious chanterelle soup, scrambled eggs with chanterelles and we also got four jars frozen chanterelles from my grandma. My parents went to the forest a few times by the end of August and they picked so many boletes that by September we’ve already dried enough mushrooms for Christmas and I believe there will be some left. Pomorze rules this autumn in terms of mushrooms.

  14. a shit ton of parasol mushrooms, which is great because they are awesome and some penny buns too.
    i’m in Greater Poland

  15. awful; ironically, I’ve found the most yesterday while walking near Moszna Castle (lots of Kanias there lol). But in the forests – nothing. 2 months ago it was much better

  16. I live in the forest, everytime I go out with dogs I come back with 4-5 mushrooms.

  17. Very bad although there are places partciularly for example one the north sides of mountains where there is moisture and mushrooms.
