These refugees managed to escape Putin, but not from Serafe

  1. For non-french speakers:

    – a Ukrainian family doesn’t get any preferential treatment, as long as you live in Switzerland and move into your own apartment, whether you’re a refugee or recipient of social welfare, the 335CHF Serafe tax remains absolutely mandatory.

You cannot hide from it. You cannot run from it. It’s like destiny.

  2. Why do we have to care about it now? It’s not like it’s the first time we had waves of refugees. Should we give preferential treatment to Ukrainians than other refugees from easter Europe (Kosovo) or people from the continent of Africa?

I really wished we would slash the Seraph pricing though. or at least they could make a giant contract with Netflix with a discounted price so we can all enjoy it.

  3. Might be unpopular opinion, but if they are smart enough, they will happily pay theit Serafe fee and realize that independent media are necessary component of healthy democracy, which is the reason why they’ve prefered to come to Switzerland instead of North Korea. Doesn’t matter at all if they personally like to watch SRF or whatever at all.

  4. Is it no more possible to avoid serafe if you don’t have any device? No radio, tv, mobile Phone etc.i remember in the past you did not have to pay if you don’t have any devices.
