Volleyball Recap: Technology Find Success

Technology was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn’t affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies, sneaking past 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 1, 2021, but that streak is no more.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (96-90) Technology actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn’t matter. The final score came out to 25-19, 9-25, 16-25, 25-23, 15-4.

Their offense was headlined by Ashlynn Hogan and Amy Guido, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Sophie Crozier and her 20 assists. Guido was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Technology back to even at 4-4. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Technology will head out to challenge Sonoma Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Titans surely won’t give up without a fight. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they are taking a road trip to square off against Calistoga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
