The slippery slope of authoritarianism

  1. As someone who recently married a migrant worker from zimbabwe, this is my fear. Explaining this to my gammon brother is difficult

  2. Won’t this affect that Farage person’s wife? I think I read she’s foreign.

  3. You assume that reform voters don’t want that end result and are saying the first because it is palatable.

  4. This is a terrible meme, and a terrible use of that specific meme.

Reform voters don’t actually want ‘the good ones’ to stay. They want them all out, anyone who isn’t white british

  5. Why the fuck does anyone believe anything farage says since brexit has been a total disaster for the country?

“Don’t blame me, blame the immigrants!”

  6. In the first slide, off in the distance, there should be another biker already on the floor with a red hat on

  7. Might give Labour a kick up the arse because Reform are gonna be the “fuck you” vote.

  8. I can’t see reform caring enough to actually be the bottom picture though.

  9. I like to point out to Far Right people that in authoritarianist societies it doesn’t matter how loyal you are to the regime, unless you are the leader or their family you are expendable to them and just living on borrowed time

  10. Legal EU immigrant here. Before the implementation of the new rule, I’ll take a massive loan guaranteed by the house I own and pay mortgage on.
I can’t wait to be deported then.

  11. Switch reformbfor MAGA and this could be american.

Utter fucking disgrace these cunts exist in our country.

  12. The same play is being run in the Untied Free People’s Democratic Republic of America, how people don’t see the parallels I don’t know.

  13. It’s almost like this is literally what the exact same sort of people are doing in America. Wild.

I’d LOVE to see them run up against our civil service though. Good luck getting anything they haven’t spent 6 years (conveniently). working out.

  14. Someone in my life has had ILR for 40 years, having moved from a Commonwealth country.

They have never had the money to apply for citizenship, they are now a pensioner with a family…. What is going to happen to them should they not be able to afford the application process?

  15. Toad face is just a dump wannabe. Hopefully he will never be in a position where he can’t be opposed and stopped.

  16. He wants to sell the NHS. This shit is a distraction

  17. My mum’s got dual citizenship. Wonder if she’ll be deported to Poland?

  18. The thing that sucks about this is that if you’re an immigrant, even if you get to stay, you know you’re hated just for being brown or Muslim. My wife has never broken the law, is a good neighbour, devoted mother. Our kids are high achievers, never been in trouble at school, polite. Even if this doesn’t happen, it’s difficult knowing there is a snowballing contingent of this country who just hate you.

But, God has blessed me and my family. By his will, we will be happy here, or we will be happy in another country.

I feel very sorry for Tommy and reform supporters. They think that if all the Muslims go, they’ll be united and happy, but they won’t. Ethnonationalism is an ideology without content. There are no shared white values. When I am with my Muslim brothers, from all corners of the world, I know that they would feed me if I was hungry, they would support me if I lost my house, they would drive me there if I had to walk, and they know I’d do it for them. I hope they are guided to Islam, and any of you too so that you can experience brotherhood, purpose, meaning.

  19. It’s absolutely laughable you think a reform voter would think the last slide. They hate immigrants, period, and support a man who wants to get rid of them.

  20. This meme describes ICE in USA. What worries me about Reform is their policy of austerity and privatisation. They are going to defund and sell off the NHS. Once it’s gone, there’s no buying it back.

  21. My ex wife has settled status. She works with special needs kids and is massively underpaid for how much work she does and how hard the work is. Yet, she’s here because she loves it and loves helping those kids.

If she lost settled status and had to leave, I can guarantee there’d be very few natives who would fill hers, and others, position.

Our country relies on people like her. Start removing them and we’re utterly fucked. Education and the NHS would collapse. Although, that’s Farage’s goal, and exactly why he wants to do it.

  22. It’s authoritarianism for immigrants to reapply or leave when their visas end?

  23. It’s undemocratic that people voted against mass immigration over and over yet it happened regardless and to 600,000+ per year at that, undoing this wrong would make me support reform and vote for them

  24. I’ve had to spend the evening explaining fascism to my Chinese wife who’s had indefinite leave to remain since 2014. China doesn’t allow dual citizenship because regardless of Fararge, their government is even more cunty. As a result my wife kept her Chinese passport. So now her choices are risk deportation to China after over a decade of contributing to this country and taking on a job no brit would (marrying me), OR get British citizenship and risk the CCP (at best) blocking entry to see her parents or (at worst) fucking her parents in revenge. All so some Temu Hitler can buy another house and avoid stamp duty. My piss is literally boiling.

  25. They also want to expand powers to revoke British citizenship from both British nationals and naturalised British citizens

  26. Just to at the Reform subs reaction to all this.

You’re seeing the whole ‘we want all immigrants gone’ crowd coming out of the woodwork.
