    but while i’m not a religious person, the pope was right, the AI is already doing big damage to humanity, as there is a lot ot people thinking AI, is alive and their boy/girlfriends… and other damages

  15. You know, it’s a rarity for me to agree with any religious leader. Props to him for thinking about Man’s creativity and how AI has integrated itself into our daily lives.

People are already using AIs as oracles, elders, and confidants, and according to the internets (ahem) “tens of thousands think ChatGPT is God.” I’m an atheist but I was raised Christian, and this whole situation with Putin, Trump, and Musk is creeping my inner Bible-thumper out, especially late at night, with its similarities to the prophesies of the apocalypse. Happily, there was never going to be a one-world religion built on pornography that spoke all the world’s languages and seduced kings, so I was safe from my childhood fears, right? But here we are. And now it wants to be Pope.

    Sunrise and rational thinking can’t come soon enough.
