Petition for recognition of Palestine handed over in Bern | On Monday, the petition “Switzerland must also recognise Palestine” with 13,750 signatures was handed over to the government and parliament in Bern. The initiator of the signature collection was the Zurich writer Thomas Meyer.

6. That’s ridiculous. Pure symbolism that achieves absolutely nothing.

   It’s a shame that the release of the hostages is not being demanded to the same extent. Similarly, I did not see demonstrations to the same extent after the October 7 massacre. Why are so many people trying to portray Palestine as innocent?

7. These people needs a state, that’s for sure. Not the current one, I think the right move would be to put these territories under UN governance again. And once institutions are in place give them their autonomy back. Yeah I am an optimist.
