i never knew they came in cans what do i think about it ?
i mean it has a unique taste to it but if i wanted to drink a cola beverage oh coca cola is miles better
Yeah, I wouldn’t drink it every day but it’s great to see it sold outside of Donegal!
A lovely drink. Didn’t think it came in cans though. Usually glass bottles
It’s grand I think, nice for a bit of variety
The nectar of the gods
I do prefer it to coke, it’s a nice drink and you are not giving money to an American company.
That’s the taste of summer holidays when I was a wee lad
The cans are a different, significantly worse, recipe from the glass bottles.
It’s really good
I moved to Donegal recently and tried the different flavours. The glass bottles are nice. I recommend the banana 🍌
A great starter for a cocktail! I add a whiskey and call it a back of the net.
Nectar of the gods.
Edit: It’s sold everywhere now. Can get it in my local Super Value and Centra. The banana one is… unique.
I had it recently from the local butcher who randomly stocks it but it’s in a lot of Lidls now too.
I was expecting it to be way higher in sugar/cals so was surprised to find out that it’s pretty much just cola flavoured sparkling water.. which I very much enjoyed!
Well, it’s not quite a cola, and not quite a cream soda. But man, when they get together….. To answer your question, I don’t know.
It’s delicious though.
For the real deal you need to get it in a long neck bottle
Literally never heard of it, must be a culchie thing.
Move over Champion milk. Football Special is the true choice of Champions!!
Hooly water
its like a fruity version of Coke, very nice !
Not saying this because I’m from Donegal, but it’s superior to Coca Cola, nice vanilla, and something about the full sugar Coke makes my teeth all gritty and the worse feeling. (Coke Zero and Diet coke were grand).
I’m actually pretty sad that’s it’s sold nationwide now because I always loved when people came to Donegal for the first time and show it to them.
Donegal’s finest 🤣
Did they change the sugar content? I had one 2 weeks ago and something tasted off, like it was a watered down version of the original.
God’s nectar
That contains memories of childhood, happy family times in Donegal on holiday, where we drank one between the 3 of us and shared a bag of tayto too.

Its main ingredients are the sweat and tears from League of Ireland football players.

McAids?
Anybody know anywhere in the Midlands that sells the much vaunted extra special glass bottle version?
