I found this at an estate sale!! It seems to be a family patriarch recording the births of his children, I would REALLY love some help understanding everything I can learn from this, specifically the chunk of text on top of the first page in photo 6. I hope these photos were clear enough. 😊

  1. That’s a hymnal, and indeed the inscription is recording births. I can’t really make out the text on photo 6, but no doubt others will be able to.

    Ev. (Evangelische) Lucas 2, 1 – 7 ( …and she gave birth to her firstborn…)

    Lucas 2, 8 – 17 (…and there were shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock at night)
