Five years after “Megxit,” Prince Harry’s desire to reconcile with his family is taking a toll on his marriage to Meghan Markle, a source tells Star.
After “making peace” with King Charles, Harry, 41, is “dead-set” on bringing his kids, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3, to meet their grandpa, says the source, adding that he “won’t take no for an answer from his wife.”
The duchess, who has settled into their Montecito, California, lifestyle and launched her As Ever business, “has sanctioned his visits home and [is] being open to a meeting with the royals down the line,” says the source. However, she hasn’t been to the U.K. since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.

Harry has already informed Charles, 76, that they plan to return, says the source, “so it would be a major embarrassment because he’s promised his father they’ll all come back in due course so he can meet Archie, Lili and catch up with Meghan.”
Harry “understands” his wife is “nervous, but says it’s time to swallow her pride,” the source continues. “He’s been trying to reassure Meghan that she’s still very liked in a lot of royal circles.”
The duke believes his brother, Prince William, is the only main obstacle left, says the source.
Meghan, 44, “knows deep down there’s no way out of it,” adds the source. “So right now they’re figuring out logistics and seeing if they can squeeze in a low-key trip before the holidays.”
