Democrats are heavily favored to keep Arizona’s 7th Congressional District in a special election Tuesday. Longtime Rep. Raúl Grijalva’s death in March left the seat vacant, and his daughter, former Pima County Supervisor Adelita Grijalva, easily won the Democratic Party nomination in a contested primary in July. She’ll face Republican Daniel Butierez, a business owner, for the remainder of the current term in Congress. Then-Vice President Kamala Harris carried the district with more than 60% of the vote in the 2024 presidential elections.
