  1. Such a good time to graduate as a mechanical engineer, won’t you guys agree?

    *Screaming in Polish intensifies*

  2. European automotive industry in a nutshell. Biggest customer to Valmet Automotive was MB and when numbers are down this kind of operations are first out from mother company. Luckily the surge of defense industry may save a lot of jobs but not all…

  3. Soon I will start to accept that bad news is normal here in Finland, it is either social budget cut or layoff

  4. Just the normal cycle for that factory, they had negotiwtions all the time even in the best times.

  5. Bad news about automotive are not only in Finland, it’s about all EU since they decided to force people to move toward electric cars. It can only get worse.

  6. It’s not unique to Finland.

Automotive, and most industries in general, have been slowly dying in Europe for years, except perhaps the “best cost” countries in the newly enlarged eastern EU.

The industry to be in right now is defence and defence suppliers. Of course, this only works if you’re of Finnish nationality.
