  1. That’s a shame, at €20k. It looks like it came from Claire’s Accessories 😈

  2. her “alternative” voice is that of the most Conservative Catholic oppression. We had centuries of that already so it’s not quite an alternative Ireland is ready for.

  3. This election is a joke shop so much so that I am actually questioning if the role is needed at all and critically the massive bill to the taxpayer it incurs.

  4. Without knowing anything about her or what she believes in, it’s fully conceivable for someone who is well off to be a better candidate for the less well off – you don’t have to be on the breadline to believe in policies that help those who are.

  5. I think you’ll find that hardcore religious conservatism is not very popular with the grassroots.

  6. Ah, back into Iona’s cryogenic tank for defrosting before the next referendum with you Maria.

Does the husband communicate in any sort at all, or does he have a habit of standing in the background looking like a castrated bullock all the time?

  7. Lad in the left reminds me of the villain in brassic

  8. That bag didn’t just cost €20K, You need a prespend in Hermes to buy one. Check out TheHermesGame sub.

  9. The amount of people on twitter defending her saying she worked hard all her life and deserves to have nice things.. I work pretty hard as well and the nice thing I have is when my jocks have no holes in them.

  10. Can’t fit 800 dead baby skeletons in a Hermes bag, ma’am. You need to rethink your alternative voice.

  11. There’s money to be made from being a “Christian Conservative”.

  12. Interesting how she can afford it, given she has not worked in her profession in many, many years.

  13. Whatever. Scurry off to your hole and pray for our salvation.

  14. In what universe can someone justify buying a poxy handbag for 20 fuckin’ grand. An obscene amount of money for something like that.

  15. Maybe she’ll come out and say she is in tune with the working class and that she got it from Temu or Alixpress?

  16. “Politicians are out of kilter with the public”, cries woman whose hardcore Catholic worldview consistently receives minimal support from the public in elections.

  17. If it is real, that’s mental. Present from some rich backer maybe?

  18. I think the grassroots spoke a long time ago and rejected the Ireland of the 1950s.

I don’t like this Dev’s Ireland vibe (loosely paraphrased) as “If I wish to know what the Irish people want all I have to do is look into my own heart” level of discussion. Official Ireland of the olden days was full of that kind of paternalistic prattle and it still seems to haunt the fringes of a certain element that feel entitled to be the national moral compass.

  19. My first thought was, is this Boycie and Marlene from only fools and horses.

  20. That bag is a statement. A reminder you are not the same people.

  21. Stop talking about her.

This is the air of publicity that she wanted. She never wanted to be elected, she just wanted a public podium.

Stop giving her one. She’s out, let’s move on to people who actually deserve to be heard.

  22. Remember the president is a ceremonial role but they do have powers which are traditionally not used.

A president with bad intentions 100% can do some damage so please vote this time if you haven’t.

  23. If ever there was a character red flag 🚩 so blatantly on display (assuming the bag is €20K) it’s this.

  24. Nothing like the good accepting liberals to insulting a woman because she doesn’t agree with their views. Wow, so accepting
