Looks like it hit the branches.
~~Lol he missed that and it flew into a tree for some reason. Looked like none of his shots were particularly close?~~
Corrected – definitely hit something important.
I told you I got this. Now get your ass back in there and drive.
riding shotgun
Perhaps one of the pellets severed the Fibre wire connection? Might explain why it stopped maneuvering
*slaps roof of truck* “This bad boy can carry some big ass bawls”.
Your man’s done the wire on that one. Or it was jammed/lost connection for other reasons which happens a lot.
Either way, everybody lives another day and you’d take that under the circumstances.
Cannot imagine many things more terrifying than having to shoot down an oncoming drone before it arrives.
That is some very high-stakes sporting clays. Perhaps we should start adding clays shooting to basic training…
Daym, that looks like great sport! High risk and high reward. Shotguns really are the best defense against those nasty hornets.
Strong work, sir!
I wonder when they’ll get automatic systems to shoot down drones much more accurately than a guy with a shotgun. Some sort of fire control with radar seems like it should work. A fire control computer would more easily compensate for things like drone velocity than a human.
Dude, reload. Quick
Does anyone know what’s being used shotgun wise for drones? Ammo/rounds, gun, whatever. I’ve been out shooting clay targets, and im just trying to put myself in the shoes of shooting at a drone. Are the drones being used, tough? Or can you take most out with a good shot?
I hope this doesn’t somehow come off pretentious. I just like imagining.
Love to give him credit but unless he winged it I’m pretty sure it hit the tree.
Bravery and luck to you soldiers.
Basically skeet, right? He got it once he was leading it a nice bit.
Much respect to the pickup truck tail gunner.
Riding through the sunset with the boys ✨
Shooting skeets becoming an essential part of military training.
Did he? Looks like the tree hit did the job. Maybe he took out the camera or fiber link?
I *really* want to know what load he was shooting with!
He took his time and seemed like good aim, so maybe a wrong #4 instead of #6 or #7?
What do you think? 🤔
If you could systematically study every instance of this scenario- an infantryman with a long gun firing at an approaching drone from a vehicle -I wonder what would be the best way to respond;
Is it safer for the driver to floor it and try to escape while the gunner shoots, or to come to a complete stop so as to give the gunner a better hit probability? It’s gonna be interesting to see how the lessons learned from this war will shape future doctrine.
Looks more like EW got it and it couldn’t turn and hit the tree.
Where was bro going? The that seemed to run TOWARDS the drone when it detonated?
I remember this HL:2 level.
But seriously, kind of freaky that manhacks seem like the “nice” version of drones.
Heart rate going up with every shot.
