AS OUR SAM CARTER FOUND OUT, THIS COULD BE YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE ITALIAN FOR A DAY. ONE OF THE INCREDIBLE THINGS ABOUT OUR CITY IS HOW CULTURALLY DIVERSE IT IS. AND ON SUNDAY, FROM 1 TO 8 HERE AT GELATO GILBERTO, ITALIAN CULTURE TAKES CENTER STAGE. CO-OWNER OF THE CRESCENT HILL GELATERIA GELATO GILBERTO JUSTIN GILBERT MAY NOT BE ITALIAN BY BIRTH OR HERITAGE, BUT THAT HASN’T STOPPED HIM FROM EMBRACING THE CULTURE. GOTCHA. AND WE WANT TO INTRODUCE OTHER IDEAS LIKE THE OLIVE OIL, THE THE MEATBALLS, THE OPERA. AND HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE THE BEGINNING OF OF AN ANNUAL TRADITION WHERE WE CELEBRATE ITALIAN CULTURE. THE FESTIVAL WILL BE IN CRESCENT HILL ON FRANKFORT AVENUE, RIGHT IN FRONT OF JUSTIN AND HIS WIFE’S GELATO SHOP. AND IF NOTHING ELSE, JUSTIN HOPES IF YOU HAPPEN TO DROP BY, YOU’LL IMPARA QUALCOSA DI PICCOLO OR IN ENGLISH, LEARN A LITTLE SOMETHING. ITALY IS MORE THAN JUST MANDOLINS AND SPAGHETTI. YOU KNOW, THERE’S THERE’S IT’S SUCH A WIDE RANGING CULTURE THAT INFORMS SO MUCH OF WHAT WE DO HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, ALL AROUND THE WORLD. EVERYTHING KICKS OFF HERE ON FRANKFORT AVENUE AT 1 P.M. THEY’RE KICKING THINGS OFF WITH A PERFORMANCE FROM T
