If they’re serious then this is great. I cycle pretty much everywhere, but am aware that I’m a bit of a freak in that I’m happy enough to do 20k to work on the bike in regular road traffic. Infrastructure completely segregated from cars will get a lot of people out who would have been understandably nervous about cycling on roads, while electric bikes and scooters are really extending the range the average person would be comfortable commuting on a bike well past 10km each way.
