Or simply due to innate cowardice? In the name of free press you go and defend your right to publish any political opinion (difficult stance in this case)…but hiding away is a clear sign of bad faith and dirty conscience
I suspect the play here is to make it look like Parliament is trying to censor them, rather than criticising them for a supremely daft and obviously false article.
Rayner should also sue them for defamation.

The DM is made up of Tory members and connections. The Metro paper is also part of DM. Knowing that, they and all other parties need to up their game. Seriously.
If you believed in the veracity of your story that strongly, then surely the correct course of action would be to go and defend it?

yeah saw the headline this morning where they’re basically saying the Mail + Daily Mail *shudder* are fighting for a free press vs the Speaker wanting to ask them to consider how shit would make Rayner & her kids feel when its not important to political discourse or info.
