Tourist arrivals in Slovenia advanced by 2.5% year-on-year to 1.21 million in August 2025, the same pace as in the previous month.
The number of foreign tourist arrivals increased by 4.1% to 1.04 million while domestic arrivals dropped by 5.8% to 175,922.
Most foreign visitors came from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, France, and the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, overnight stays rose by 2.4% to a record high of 3.34 million, led by stays in mountain resorts (38.4% of all overnight stays), seaside resorts (19.5%), health (spa) resorts (13.9%), and Ljubljana, the capital (12.2%).
Considering the first seven eight months of the year, tourists generated 5.06 million arrivals (5.7% more than in the same period last year) and 13.2 overnight stays (5.5% more).
Foreign tourists generated 76% of all overnight stays, the largest number of tourists from Germany, followed by Italy, and the Netherlands.
