1. Since they lost three Su-34 in a row end of 2023, the Russians were very cautious about the use of these bombers. All following losses in 2024 and 2025 were on the ground. So it’s quite curious to see Russia using one of their highest value assets to go on a high risk mission in Ukraine. Either they were very sure of a target that is worth the risk or the usual Soviet bombers are just so worn down that they can’t even make it to Ukraine and back.
