This year I’m travelling with 3 other friends to both Romania and Bulgaria (doing a few days in each city). On the 20th July I had planned for us to take direct train which departs at 10:55, but looking on the website (I think it’s full) the wording isn’t super clear. [CFR Railway](www.cfrcalatori.ro)
There is another train that goes at 00:01 on the 20th but with 2 changes (one of which is over 4 hrs) it’s not really appealing.
I’m now looking into coach travel and I think there’s an overnight coach that leaves about 23:30 on the 19th and arrives on the 20th for about 8am. Does anyone have any experience with coach travel in Romania and is there a direct website I can book with the coach company, instead of a third party company?
Any advice – comments – feedback welcome. Sadly flights are not an option.

For some reason they only sell tickets only until 31 may. Some system error, i don’t know.
It’s unlikely that this train is full at any time of the year
From what I am aware of, online bookings are allowed only one month in advance (there was a time with 20 days only). Therefore try to head to a CFR office if you want to make an advanced reservation.
