I’m glad we bit the bullet here and just took it on the chin over the summer. Got everyone used to the idea and built up some natural immunity over time without things going crazy.
I started to believe that covid is just made up for against mass immigration.
Will there be any country whose leadership will have the balls to say “we have the vaccines now, no more measures” ?
And if the hospitals get full from unvaccinated people, then you cap the number of beds and ICUs for unvaccinated Covid patients, and tell them “it’s your fault” if they can’t find a bed when they need it.
This is getting ridiculous, the virus isn’t getting away, and no country will have 100% vaccination rate.
This is mostly caused by government incompetence.
– Last 12 years the Rutte governments have significantly reduced the nr of hospital beds available (too expensive) and fired alot of hospital staff. They also closed down a lot of facilities for the elderly and fired thousands of staff.
– The nr of ICU beds are less then before the pandemic
– Hospital staff quitting and high nr of sick staff because of stress and low wages. The only thing they received from the government was a moment of national applause.
– Policies based solely on the nr of hospital beds available. Because of the lack of beds, lockdowns are the only option left to maintain access to healthcare.
– Claiming that covid was over during the summer, including dropping of all measures allowing it to spread again in fall.
– Stupid measures like ‘Danse with Janssen’. Young people could get a Janssen jab and then go party straight after the jab with no time for the vaccine to take effect. The nr of infections skyrocketed.
– Short term measures based on nr of infections instead of a long term vision, covid isn’t going away.
– Trying to hide government incompetence by blaming the 15% unvaccinated. Divide and conquer policies.
– High reliance on a fancy QR system. Vaccinated people can always get a QR code to go to bars, take a flight, go to restaurants, even if they are sick to the bone with covid.
– The Minister of Healthcare is actually a primary school teacher and hides his incompetence by doing lengthy monologues where he doesn’t actually say anything.
– The RIVM, the national institute for health that advices the government seems to be unaware that there are countries at the other side of the borders that also deal with covid. They could go take a look at how they handle things there.
