  1. Cock size inspection camera’s, they flash when you have a massive one. Never seen one flash tho

  2. Making sure the next idiot that forgets what the gas pedal does when he’s ‘stuck’ on the tracks is filmed in 4K for maximum internet points.

  3. The big square ones are the digital “bell” speakers that replace the traditional bells on crossings.

The smaller ones look like traffic detection sensor arrays, but I could be wrong on that.

  4. When it detects your car, the train’s traffic lights turn red

  5. The normal stop light indicates there’s an intersection right across the railroad. So in essence, it has nothing to do with the railroad. The sensor on top of it is just a presence sensor for normal ‘smart stop light’ operations when the railroad crossing is open.

  6. That thing on the traffic light is a sensor that “looks” to see if there is a vehicle at the red light or how long the line of stationary vehicles is. They are usually used to regulate traffic flow. Some traffic lights remain green on busy roads until the sensor detects a vehicle. Loops in the asphalt are more expensive and less reliable. (They often do not detect motorcycles or mopeds).

  7. Tax cameras, they identify how many times you’ve gone through that railroad crossing and tax you accordingly.

  8. These keep the elefants of the train tracks. Highly effective.

  9. Maybe a traffic camera the smaller one does look like a red light camera. So your license plate gets shot when you run a red light. Would make sense since a heap of idiotic drivers decide to floor it when the lights turn red at a railroad crossing before the “slagbomen” go down (forgot the English word)

  10. These are f-u you’re not going to be on time sensors from NMBS.
They send a train when they detect you are in a hurry
