  1. I don’t understand this meme. We have literally signed migration pact that force us to take them, or to pay 500 000 fines for each we don’t.

  2. Have you heard the way Czechs talk about Ukrainians? “Willingly” is a bit of a stretch.

  5. Ukrainians work hard, since last year, they’ve put more into social welfare than taken (according to the Czech Ministry), they are culturally very close… It’s not perfect, but I would rather take Ukrainians than those that currently occupy Britain and Germany. No thanks 👍

  6. The actual issue is that the V4 countries have utterly failed to integrate people from literally a *neighboring* country, have been increasingly unwilling to share with them the already depleted resources of the social state the right-wing governments have spent decades dismantling; and the anger and fear of those people is reaped by populists from all sides.

Now imagine how much will the Czechs, Poles etc. be willing to share with people from utterly different culture. What could go wrong there?

  7. Yes, its better to take immigrants who are willing to integrate.

In another news water is wet.

  8. As an immigrant from the third-world (London), I’m contractually obliged to thank the Czech Republic for it’s humane policy of accepting British citizens.

  9. Deti ukrajinských imigrantov budú hovoriť miestnym jazykom, budú poznať a rešpektovať miestnu kultúru a zákony.

  10. I will throw in my own observation which might amount to nothing. I live in Brno, work in IT, almost all my friends vote left and are with degrees. Almost none of them including my colleagues are pro-migration of Muslims. Even the most leftist party, the pirates, sort of skirt around the issue in their official statements saying: “immigration in Europe is broken and we don’t want it, but we will work with EU to make it better” or something to that extent.

Being pro migration would be a political suicide no matter what side you lean in Czechia it’s just not an issue that’s worth debating since there are no voters to sway imo. The only person who might be pro-migration is a pure-hearted economists who simply wants the economy to do better.
