More unidentified drones were seen over Denmark overnight on Saturday, just days after a large drone sighting caused the closure of the country’s main airports in what officials described as a “hybrid attack.”
Unidentified drones were spotted near one of Denmark’s largest military installations on Monday, according to the Danish Armed Forces, adding to recent incidents of drone sightings near airports and critical infrastructure. € news.
The military did not specify where the drones were spotted, but police say they were seen near Karup Air Base in western Denmark.
The recent sightings have caused the closure of several airports across the country, with the largest and busiest, Copenhagen Airport, being closed for several hours on Monday after several drones were spotted in its airspace.
Nearly half a dozen other airports, both civilian and military, were restricted and temporarily closed in the days that followed after similar drone sightings.
Danish authorities have called the incidents “hybrid attacks.”
