It is close to the controversial Learmonth Hotel in the capital’s West End which is being used as migrant accommodation.
Kit, 38, who played Jon Snow in the hit fantasy series, has previously been involved in efforts to help asylum seekers and refugees.

Another resident added: “People need to be helped, genuinely. However, we get the constant smell of weed and stream of guys smoking cigarettes outside.”
Three years ago, Kit featured in a TV and radio campaign for the Disasters Emergency Committee to support Ukrainian refugees fleeing the country after the invasion by Russia.
And in 2016, he took part in a UN video poem to highlight the plight of refugees globally.
His Aberdeen-born wife Rose’s dad Sebastian was one of two candidates to run for the Brexit Party, the former title of migration critic Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, in Scotland in 2019. He ultimately lost out.
Hundreds have protested outside asylum hotels in Falkirk, Aberdeen and Perth recently.
Another resident added: “People need to be helped, genuinely. We get the constant smell of weed and stream of guys smoking cigarettes outside.”
