China: World’s tallest bridge opens in Guizhou Province • FRANCE 24 English

This gigantic structure hangs in midair between two mountains 625 m above the river below. China has now officially opened the highest bridge in the world. Before it took an hour, now it only takes 2 minutes. In the skies of Guayjo province, the Huaj Jang Canyon Bridge took three years to build and 22,000 tons of cement and steel. Last month, a testing team drove 96 red trucks onto designated points to test the bridgeg’s structural integrity. The motorway, which connects to the bridge, is as impressive, splitting mountains in half on its winding path. The Huajang Canyon Bridge has become a local treasure, a tourist attraction, and somewhat of an influencer magnet. [Music] Floating roads like these are dotted around the province. These technological innovations are emissaries of Chinese prestige. on the Yangti River. This brand new cablestate bridge is 10 km long, making it the longest bridge in the country. In the region of Chang Jang, another huge project is about to come to light. In only a few months, a motorway will cross this entire estry. Beijing is demonstrating its infrastructure prowess, which shows no limits.

The Guizhou province is already home to almost half the world’s 100 tallest bridges, but it is about to be home to the tallest bridge in the world. Another example of China’s infrastructure diplomacy, demonstrating technological prowess, and large scale ambition. Story by Emily Boyle and France 2.

  1. from 1 hour to 2 mins ….. whoever believe that any country can replace China's manufacture capabilities are day dreaming. Beside the insane output scales, look at their transportation efficiency and transporting cost, name me a country that can compete ? You can have other countries to be your enemies, but never China, its another level. Btw it took about 3 years to fix a damn pothole in front of my house in Canada , wth

  2. In year 1933 America made Golden Gate Bridge.
In year 2025 China made an amazing World's tallest bridge.
    Almost 100 year apart. 😂

  3. Asian men really do have such a small amount to compensate for. Such a little problem each of them have.

  4. China built the highest bridge in the world in 3 years but Italy can't build a bridge at sea level to sicily while trying for decades even with a GDP per capita 3 times higher than China. Late stage capitalism is rotting the west.

  5. India can only dream such infrastructure. But its not fair to compare with india because they have the largest statue in the world of some old man nobody will know.

  6. Trump will ban those bridges.. 😂😂😂😂😂
And jaelous magas will call it bridges build by agressive child labour and security threat

  7. well done china, congratulations… unlike USA, china isn't spending money trying to overthrow foreign governments, installing military base and spending money to spread stupid ideology and propaganda.
Chinese government spends money for the development of his country.

  8. well done im jealous, in ireland we've been talking about building a ring road( its a single lane road not even a motorway) for 30 years around galway city which is now in the top 10 most congested cities in the world. 30 years of endless planning/appeals and we havent even dug a hole yet

  9. China showing the world once again what it is capable of achieving. It's China magic…where nothing is impossible. Building it or making it cheaper, faster and better!

  10. The Chinese government has a responsibility to complete the rotten tail projects in China before bragging about spending money overseas
20m families are paying mortgages for incomplete apartments
