England crowned Women’s Rugby World Cup champions after winning against Canada.

1. I feel for Canada, they have nothing to be ashamed of, but that was a magnificent performance by the Red Roses. What a year for English women’s sport.

2. Brilliant year for Women’s Sport.

   It was a fun and passionate game. Really feel for Canada, they played well, but we just held the line.

3. 81,885 in attendence, apparently it is the second highest world cup finals attendence in both the mens and womens game, incredible.

   It was a great game, I’ve never really been into rugby but this match makes me want to check out more. Hopefully between teh Lionesses and the Red Roses we can keep building momentum on womens sport so more sports can get funding and attention.

4. A great match to watch, although a very silly mistake by Botts could have been costly. This tournament has been a great advert for the women’s game though, with a fantastic atmosphere

5. Felt a really massive moment, that trophy lift in front of a (virtually) sold out Twickenham.

   Women’s sport in England continues to jump from strength to strength, may it continue long into the future.

6. That’s great! Wish we could see women’s sports having a higher profile.

7. It was an amazing tournament and England women are the rightful champions.

   As rugbier I reckon I enjoyed this tournament’s performances a lot.

8. Highly funded professional team wins, compared to the rank amateurs in that competition. Same goes for England Ladies football team – it would be more of a surprise if they didn’t win.
