meanwhile, the state of tennesee just banned the age requirements for marriage, fuckers.
EDIT: I have revisited the law that was passing – looks like at the national backlash over the age limit thing, they did rework/reword the bill to have the limit set at 18. PHEW!!!!! But it took millions to flip a shit over it first
Good, noone under 18 can make that sort of decision. Frankly, the age of consent should be raised to 18 also. The fact that every other decision has been raised to 18 yet we are still allowing children to make decisions about sex is crazy.
Can’t help but feel this will be used counter arguments for lowering the voting age.
>It does not apply to Northern Ireland and Scotland, where the minimum age will stay at 16 – in Northern Ireland you still need parental consent to marry at 16, but in Scotland you don’t.
Gretna Green is going to become popular again.
Honestly I can’t understand why anyone would willingly sign their life away to a court to decide what they have to give away if they are unhappy and don’t want to be in the relationship anymore.
As with marriage that’s what you are doing. You are pretty much bending over, dropping your own trousers and passing the judge the bat and daring him to take a run up.

Baffles the mind the entire thing.
