Compared to sentences given out to drivers for far worse offences I’m surprised how long the sentence here is.

If that landed on someone they’d be killed. Could literally have killed a baby in a pram or an old person.
4 months is a joke. This was a deadly act not some silly prank.
They didn’t steal sweets from a shop, knock a door and run away or something else childish but not dangerous. They almost killed people and laughed about it.

Honestly I’ve seen kids do this sort of crazy shit my whole life (born in the 80s)
I’ve seen people leave massive rocks on tube tracks while a tube approaches back in the 90s…with the rock then being flicked forwards and almost hitting someone. The difference is back then they didn’t have their mates snitching on them by filming, they’d just run off and tell their mates about it the next day
My point is some of these feral kids are absolute cretins and it’s nothing new. This will scare other kids into not doing something similar and that’s the purpose of this sentence
Maybe the sentence could have been longer but the point is to send a message to other kids cos I’m pretty sure this one will never do anything similar again and is hating his life right now
To those wanting longer sentences, what good is it to look this idiot up for 10 years? So that he comes out a hardened criminal?
