Brexit has devastated UK exports to EU countries, study says.

  1. Rees-Mogg would point out that using date and research to come to conclusions was the old way of doing things under the oppression of the EU, he believes in deciding you are right and then repeating it often enough to try and convince people

  2. I love the fact that an article on the Telegraph on the same report comes to almost the opposite conclusion…

Unbiased journalism at its best at both ends of the political spectrum.

  3. UK exports are now the difference between doing your family shop at any large supermarket and now you have to shop for the family food at your corner shop. How people did not see that one coming🤷‍♂️

  4. Yea but we got blue passports and sovereignty so it evens out.

Who needs a thriving export industry when you can have xenopobia and blue passports??!?!?!

  5. Who could possibly have predicted such an inforseeable outcome!?!?

Well what’s very clear here is that no one is to blame for this. There’s no point trying to faff about with ‘accountability’ or ‘responsibility’, let alone asking what the fucking shit we’re going to do about it.

  6. This is what we wanted!!! We didnt want to sell to the EU!!!! We wanna take the goods we could have sold to the EU easily and they struggle to sell them to someone halfway around the world.

    GLOBAL BRiTaNia!!!!

…what do you mean there is no money now?

  7. It might not be the worst case scenario, however it is perfectly in line with what we were told would happen if we decided to leave the EU. We were given time to change our mind or to negotiate a better deal and we chose to throw those back in the EU’s faces. Leave voters got what they voted for so cannot complain about this, although they will claim this is not what they voted for. They voted to harm the economy but will not take responsibility for that decision.

  8. Writing in his weekly Telegraph column in February of 2016, Boris Johnson resurrected a phrase that had first been coined during the Scottish independence referendum two years earlier – **“Project Fear”.**

  9. Yes, that was the idea.

Brexit has led to all sorts of shit outcomes. Because that’s exactly what people voted for. They voted for the country to be poorer and weaker and less fair and to have fewer opportunities and higher taxes and less spending.

The only sad bit is that they won.

  10. AH its all fake news anyway i dont believe.. Its probably EU countries that have devastated brexits exports. lol

  11. But “we got Brexit done” so stop your bellyaching.

Just like we handled the covid crisis, the unacceptable mortality rate (particularly in care homes) and billions in fraud were merely par for the course in a pandemic when decisions had to be made quickly.

This is why we need to stick with the PM so he can deal with the Ukraine crisis and continue to promise refugees assistance that doesn’t materialise and to provide the military hardware that any administration would feel compelled to provide Ukraine, particularly if it has persistently refused to sell that hardware to the country whilst willingly flogging it to non democratic countries with poor human rights records.

Boris Johnson deserves jail time for what he has cost this country but, given the months it has taken the Met to investigate him over partygate in which the investigatory work had effectively been done by Sue Gray, we have little chance of him being investigated for the serious offences of Misconduct in Public Office and Fraud by Abuse of Position which there is clear prima facie evidence of and should satisfy the threshold of the CPS code to warrant prosecution, namely is it in the public interest and is there a reasonable prospect of securing a conviction.

If the Met want to gain some credibility, they could start at the top. Current polls should give an indicator of current public sentiment of who the public are feeling ripped off by.
