At Kane Street Kids, children ages 2-5 deeply engage in co-authored emergent curriculum based in inquiry, problem-solving, and collaboration. Our approach centers seeing children as capable individuals with unique interests. Keeping relationships at the heart of our work, we encourage children and adults to come as they are, supporting families through the stages and phases of early childhood development.

As the preschool of Kane Street Synagogue, we welcome families from Jewish, interfaith, and non-Jewish backgrounds who are excited about immersing their child in a joyfully Jewish environment. Our facility includes both indoor and outdoor playspaces and plenty of natural light in our relaxed classroom settings.

Infant & Toddler Programming
KSK offers Babies & Bagels, a meetup group for parents and guardians with babies ages 0-6 months centered around offering community and support for families with newborns and infants.

We also offer Shabbat Jams, a toddler music program for children ages 7-23 months and their grown-ups to enjoy dancing, scarves, shakers, bubbles, and more!

For children ages 14-28 months, we offer a Gentle Separation Program on Tuesday and Thursdays mornings from 9:00-10:30am. For this enrichment class, children attend with a grown-up until they turn 2, when they practice separating to their KSK teachers. The focus on this program is social-emotional growth for young children, including building trusting bonds with new adults and strategies for co-regulation during challenging moments.
