Why do I get the feel Chinese only measure in 5 year intervals?
It’s amazing what free markets can do.
Wow this is incredible. I’ve gotta start eating more moo goo gai pan.

This graph is a great test of data literacy
Serious question: after life expectancy, median wealth, and median happiness, what other statistics would be required for Americans to realize China is overall a better place to live?
Looks like someone didn’t want to acknowledge Covid deaths in their country for some reason
I call shenanigans. You mean to tell me in a 2-3 year time Chinapl magically skyrocketed their average lifespan? That’s not how averages change. I think theres some generous CCP numbers being put out. None of this looks organic.
Remember when this sub actually had cool graphs and infographics that displayed complex data in interesting and creative ways?
Now we get a two-colour line graph with questionable data. Awesome.
America got fatter. China still has a reasonable obesity rate by global standards.
Yeah given that China doesn’t show the Covid dip, you can’t trust any data coming out of there
Life expectancy in the U.S. continues to stagnate/lag compared to countries with universal healthcare and developed economies. Apparently it’s better to have 400,000 annual medical bankruptcies while spending $4.9 trillion as opposed to $3.5 for universal coverage, idk.
Edit: for profit healthcare fanboys downvoting LMFAO 🤌🤌
Guess Covid didn’t affect China…..
No down tick in China during Covid. Sus
😂 They aren’t even trying to make it look believable.
Chinese started living 50x longer? 😍
Man, I guess covid never effected china, it’s country of origin at all. Good thing the CCP has a history of being reliable and trustworthy
Yeah… that’s not accurate data
Only 5,000 covid deaths in china. Completely accurate for sure /s
Is this different than life expectancy?
Beautiful, eh? It’s a bog standard graph.
So where do you get the data from china may I ask?
Chinese data looks a little… stiff.
That graph for China looks like it was drawn by Chairman Mao…
Funny how people ignore the fact that on average the median age is higher in China (They aren’t having enough babies). This has the effect of reducing younger deaths from the statistic, moving up the median.
Wierd how China’s median age of death INCREASED during the covid pandemic. It seems like China really did have zero covid deaths.

A great example of a country that is stagnating/in decline and a country that is on the rise, with increased medical coverage and a lot of people continuously getting out of poverty.
Good job China 🇨🇳
And the US commentators on this thread are as usual in denial about everything, still believe you are #1 & American exceptionalism etc.
To understand this (assuming it’s accurate), you have to think about what preferentially kills younger people: accidents (especially MVAs), homicide, drug overdoses, suicide. Americans tend to do a lot more high-speed driving, and vastly more really young Americans drive. Murder? ‘Nuff said. ODs? Opiate addiction, which kills tens of thousands of Americans every year, is driven by drug patent monopolies that China doesn’t really care about. Suicide? Guns make it a lot easier and more accessible.
Fun fact: Chinese communism is bad. On a more serious note, Chinese communism is bad. Seriously, though, Chinese communism is very bad. Lastly, Chinese communism is evil.
The Chinese data is related more to infant mortality rates than to adult health / medical care.
It’s amazing how much your median age goes up when you stop killing your daughters and your government can falsely report information.
The US literally have a lower life expectancy than Cuba, a country they’ve been embargoing for 60 years. Absolutely embarrassing.
