The Garda focus is on creating republican dissidents for Drew Harris to catch. Rampant violence is in their financial and strategic interest.
It is time to change the laws in this country to be able to prosecute juveniles and not just the slap on the wrist they recieve now.
In every city and town in this country teenagers are running riot because they are of a certain age, which means they are basically immune to the law and have no fear of any repercussions for their actions.
Why not crackdown on the parents of the little scumbags?
Honestly if you went back in time what would happen is the locals would just kneecap one of them. It might be sad but I think that might be the only way for some of these situations. And really the Gardai not acting on stuff like this encourages it.
EDIT: I’m not suggesting kneecapping them for the person who reported the comment, I’m saying that’s what would have happened until fairly recently. I think the wider issue of the gardai letting things slip through the cracks though encourages that sort of behaviour.

The idea that these young people constitute a gang…..i kinda doubt it.
We flat out need a reform on the law regarding minors. The Garda have pure no power with an u18 unless they are literally caught red handed committing a murder and that’s what has them not even trying anymore.
The youths know this well and that’s what has them going around being pure fearless tormenting adults, because if they do anything in retaliation they’ll persue a claim against them.
It’s absolutely clown shoes and we need to ammend it at the source so the Gardai can actually get a result when they apprehend them.
But this will prevent gardai from focusing on the real issue in Ireland: possession of small quantities of cannabis for personal use!

The only way to deal with this stuff is with a bit of community intervention. There was a gang of young lads near my parents who were starting to cause some trouble. Threatening people, an assault or two. A couple of them ended up being injured in mysterious circumstances and that was that, no more bullshit.
